I, for one, am absolutely SICK of Yellow Rings of Death. My PS3 has been going down a lot because of it. Luckily, I learned how to fix YLOD on the PS3. Learn how to fix yours!
However, now that the PS4 is coming out, the console shows much promise. But one thing they did not promise was the end of the yellow rings.
I will assume that the Yellow Rings of Death (YLOD) will not be an issue, but some other thing will become an issue. Will Sony actually have the foresight to make sure that their systems are not subject to this kind of catastrophic failure?
I, myself, highly doubt it.
They make too much money on people buying new consoles. They make too much money on re-releasing the console without the old problems (but with new features, such as backwards compatibility) taken out.
Maybe the console will become much better...
In the meantime, if you're having trouble with your console, you should learn how to fix it. Don't pay some schmuck to fix it for $50 when you can learn how yourself!
